Cassandra Monique Batie is a singer, songwriter, and actress from the United States. She is a specialist in R&B and soul. The singer has received many awards, like the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Day is an extremely talented and powerful artist. It's not like she's the throwback R&B specialist, however her background in gospel jazz and the blues is evident and is a perfect fit for today's music. With her debut, Cheers to the Autumn (2015) she made it into the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts and was awarded a couple of Grammy nods. In 2017, her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack was also recognized by the Academy Award. Amen (2018), the song Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) and her Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States vs. Billie Holiday 2021) All of these have contributed to her anticipation of her next album. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and sang at the Church. She shifted her focus towards contemporary R&B to pop following her graduation and was later drawn back towards the jazz and soul singers that she had listened to when she was a kid. Kai Millard Morris was able to catch a performance she delivered and later returned to the studio with Day's tracks the singer. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Allied to Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day developed a YouTube following and eventually signed with major-label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day released her debut single Forever Mine on YouTube. It was heard on the radio by numerous DJs. After that, she joined Warner Bros. Records and began work with the producer Adrian Gurvitz to record her debut album Cheers to the fall (2015). It included Rise Up, which is now a worldwide song of the social justice movement. Day earned the album two Grammy nominations for the album which included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album about the legendary jazz singer's life and career, came out in 2019. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021. This was the year she appeared as Holiday. Andi Mattichak, a native of the United States is an American actor. She started her career on the television series Orange Is the New Black and 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was in the role of Allyson in the horror show Halloween. Andi Matichak, an American actress who was born on 03 May 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts, United States of America.
